Posted by Marigrace Pilger on

Hello mental health champions, how are you doing?  Today I want to talk about something that I know impacts a lot of people- Depression. There are a lot of things that are overlooked in regards to depression symptoms. I also think it can be confusing to diagnose depression because it truly can look many different ways for different people. I wanted to first talk about the misconception that in order to have depression, your life has to suck. Are Mental Health Days Sick Days?

Posted by Marigrace Pilger on

Hello mental health champions, how are you doing?  Today I wanted to chat about what mental health days are and if they should be considered sick days in my own opinion. When people think of OCD, they frequently think of turning the light on and off a million times or excessive cleanliness and organization. However, I have mostly struggled with mental rituals, or at least I had thought. I let my physical compulsions go unnoticed since they became such a normal...

The Problem with Mental Health Content

Posted by Marigrace Pilger on

Hello mental health champions, how are you doing?  HAPPY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH! I am so excited that we have an entire month dedicated to the importance of mental health. Mental health is so important and there is still such a stigma surrounding mental health.  Today I just wanted to touch on the stigma around self-diagnosis and the toxicity of social media. I actually wanted to talk about this because I listened to my friend Tim, of 20TIMinutes podcast and he brought up such a good point. He was saying how he is thankful that the stigma around mental health...
